The morning after

Route: Eltham to Southbank
Distance: 26.5km
Duration: 58 minutes

I must admit I was expecting a struggle-fest yesterday morning after the painful ride of the day before. Luckily I had gone to bed early enough on Saturday night to get a good night’s sleep before my early morning commute.

I left the house at about 6:15am and felt the fatigue from the previous day almost straight away. Somehow I managed to find a rhythm and when I got to the far end of Rosanna Road I was overtaken by another commuter whom I managed to catch up to and follow for several kilometres.

In the end I arrived at work in a record time of 58 minutes feeling quite good. I’m having a day off the bike today before I hopefully get to do some more hill work later in the week.

34 days to go…
