First visit?

Welcome to The Climbing Cyclist. If this is your first visit to the site, this page should help you find your way around and give you a sense of what The Climbing Cyclist is all about.

At it’s core, The Climbing Cyclist is a site about the joy of riding uphill. The site was created as a resource for cyclists in Victoria, Australia, who enjoy the challenge of climbing hills. But since then the  site has grown in size and in scope. As well as featuring guides to the various climbs around Victoria, The Climbing Cyclist also features blog posts from Matt de Neef and from a range of guest contributors.

You can learn more about the history and focus of The Climbing Cyclist here.
