  1. Hi my name is Duncan Smith I emailed 2 weeks ago trying to enter, for some reason I had trouble with my PayPal. Just seeing if I could pay on the day.

    Thanks Duncan

  2. Hay guys. I’ve found myself not having to work tomorrow but now see its sold out. What are the chances of getting a gig, is it possible?

  3. I see on the Facebook there are only 10 tickets left. I became ill during the week, as a result there’s no way I will be able to do the event, so you can make that 11 if you like.

*sigh* I was hoping to update the Invermay photo (of Jon Thornton and me weaving our way up) from last year that still makes the rounds.

  4. Is it possible to get to the start via a train or is a car required.
Won’t have a car but can catch the train if possible.
Will enter if can get their on train.
    Cheers,
    Justin.

    1. Hi Justin, yep, Upwey train station is about 1km away from the start at Thompson Reserve. Just make sure you check the train timetable as there are limited trains on Sunday mornings on the Belgrave line.

  5. Hi

A few of us are considering joining this years event; can you confirm the event times and starting location? Also what cassette would you recommend for the ride?

    Thanks

    Paul

    1. Hi Paul,

The event starts between 8am and 9am – riders will be turning up in their own time and setting off whenever they like. The ride will likely take about 4 hours, give or take. I’d definitely recommend a compact crankset and probably a 27 or 28-tooth cassette as well. The climbs are steep!

  6. What time does it start? Or, if there is a range of times, what is the range and do we pick out own start time like last year.

  7. G ‘day there,
Can you please tell me how long this event goes for and the way we leave for the climbs?
    Thank you regards Rod.

    1. Hi Rod, the full route will be released closer to the date (showing how to get between climbs). The total route is about 65km and will probably take 3.5 to 4 hours, depending on how much you decide to stop. There’ll be a BBQ lunch afterwards too …
